The question isn’t who is going to let me;
it’s who is going to stop me.” ~ Ayn Rand
I'm SICK of This World. It's Time to Change.
For those who believe that what we're doing is wrong, that know deep within their hearts that something's got to give or we will all go down together.... this is you're chance to be real, and make a difference. There won't be anything fake, this is about taking everything you know and casting it aside, so you are left uninhibited to take in what is real- leave behind all of the media noise and expectations. Be yourself or be one of them.
This page is about truly tearing apart the old delapidated workings of generations before us, and preventing the destruction to continue beyond the point is has already reached. This will be the end of an error. A new time has come, and a new way of life is at hand-will you go forward?
This part of the site is very much connected to the revolution-without making serious changes in the way we live and save the world around us...there will be no hope for man. So give it a look-it features eco friendly and organic products, companies that do more(including chocolate bars that donate profits to save animals) it has some great tips and ideas I hope you enjoy!
The surest way to corrupt a youth is to
instruct him to hold in higher esteem those who
think alike than those who think differently.

They Lie - Frank Stuhlman
I know that I'll never forget the words those doctors said.
And I know that I will never forget how readily my mother accepted those diagnoses, even when those diagnoses contradicted each other several times over.
I have to say thought,in her defense,I was a VERY weird fucking kid,I still am I'm just a littlemore self assured these days.
Over time I've learned to reject those diagnoses,to me they are the crutches of failure thatthe pharmecuetical companies built for the kids.A brilliant scapegoat you Could say, malicious and deterimental in my case.
To think that your so fundamentaly flawed to the last cell in your body that you have to be medicated just to be made tolerable is a devastating concept for an already self conscious teenager to deal with. I'm a pretty deep and rebellious person, and therefor also really sensitive, and completly fucking erratic, qualities that I know realise are the root of passion.
And it is that passion that I have built a life on,and it is also that passion, that has rescued my self esteem over the years.
It is that passion that has broken hearts and burned bridges in the bitterest of fashions, but changed minds, and opened hearts in the same breath.
Theres nothing I enjoy more then debate and argument,I probably would have been in debate if I had the confidence I have today.
The confidence that their medication had once robbed me of.
Its ironic really those pills they sold us never really made me feel any different,or more capable as they advertised them, they mostly made me feel nauseas.
I know I WANTED those pills to make me a model citizen, and help me get better grades, but they did not do that, because they can't.
They are snake-oil.
Wellbutrin,Stratera,Xanax,Ritalin and Klonopine are all the same thing really, they just act on the brain differently. They are all just promises of acceptance by conformity.
Can't sleep? take a pill so you can get up in time for the worlds schedule. Not concerned with academic approval? take a pill so you zone you out into pretending you think it matters.
In evolution we can prove that people don't change in 200 years, not by natural selection. that means that 200 years ago,and before that, people had what we now call ADD. What did the world do with them?
Nothing, they were accepted for their personalites, and led fulfilling lives without the use of medication. 1798 saw the birth of that oh so over diagnosed phar-fug-nugen,from scottish physician Alexander Crichton, with aggressiveness, defiance, and a short attention span, being the defining factors.
I wear those symptoms like badges of courage now adays,as they are the by products of thinking for yourself,a quality that has been instutionally denounced and medicated.
The statistics show that it is far more common for underclass children to be diagnosed then for burgeoise offspring.
So....Enviromental factors??
Discontent breeds defiance, and refusing to concentrate is refusing to learn,a rejection of the material. If they reject it,they most likely think they are being lied to,this is,admittedly arrogant, but when I got older I found that, that arrogance is what made me a skeptic.
And I believe, more then anything that skepticism is the root of intellectual individuality (thinking for yourself). It is the search for truth regardless of democratic consensus (herd mentality).
I believe personally that in our time,Jesus of nazareth would have been prescribed adderall for his religious outbursts and vehement rejection of the status qou.
Hell, the money changers might have even covered the co-pay if mary and joseph filled out the proper forms.
And thats the idea isn't it?
By mentally castrating those that don't conform to expected standards so that they can be assimilated, and stream-lined into the economy as a productive tax-paying cow.
I'll admit that it's alot less barberic then burning them at the stake,or crucifying them on a cross, plus it makes new jobs and a tidy profit for the pharmecuital king pins, not too shabby, huh?
The powers that be are more then aware that the freethinkers and loud speakers are the rillers of crowds, and the antithesis of society, the cog that keeps the machines from turning.
we are the philosophers.
we are the firestarters.
woe to the world when the cattle stop heeding the call of the slaughterhouse, when our voices are snuffed out like the flame of a candle.
School Now
I fully agree with the idea of an interest based educational system, there are so many untapped resources that would promote growth in both an emotional and physical way in these students-leaving a huge impact on their lives. Yet we sit back and complain about the school system, blame all of societies problems on it, but continue to do things the same old way. It is time for a difference. If we're going to keep the same system that isn't working, we might as well put some real effort towards making it useful...The revolution will reach it's way into the educational system, and when it does...
If students were more interested in learning, there would be a ripple efect- all areas that are condemned about schooling would have their symptoms eleviated. A simple method of incorporating extracurriculars with related classes more than we do now would amp interested by giving students something useful and a real reason to learn what they are studying. Grades would improve, performance in both the extracuriculars and grades-the best part is it doesn't stop there. Elevated moods and self esteem would come from the better grades and the useful skills they are learning, the excitement of going to a class they enjoy, all of this = less disruptive behavior. Happier students= happier parents and faculty. It makes everyone's job's easier. Then upon graduation, they survival value is not zero like the graduates before them. They are not left breathless and choking in an unfamiliar world because they have secured interests and talents, marketable skills, and in result are a more driven and educated generation...sounds like a fix to me.
It saddens me to meet people my age who don't know how to cook or fix a simple dish just because their parents never taught them and home-ec didn't do a good enough job. Or the one's who still have a fifth grade reading level because no one bothered to help them and they had social things to worry about. The worst are the shy kids keeping to their wallflower habits because they don't know how to get out there, they don't have any talents or knowledge to share...because they were overlooked in class. Teacher's are given such an in depth privilege, they are shaping the world...and this is what they gave us when apathy took over and their lives became more important than the ones they were given control of. It's time for a change.
What do you think? I'll be doing some follow up pieces, and some alternative educational articles as well-thanks guys!
