Happiness Isn't as Hard as We Make It Out to Be

June 3, 2009
We put happiness on a pedestal. We are on this everlasting search for true contentment, and we never seem to let ourselves reach it. We find some alternate path to distract ourselves- almost like we feel happiness can wait because there are other more important things to fill our time here on this earth.

Why do we push it away when it is so easily found?

Civilization Hate

December 30, 2008

Civilized people are ever so cruel and manipulating. We take sweet pleasure from inspiring anger and bitterness in others-in crushing someon's hope..But I just don't understand why-why we need to feed off of others in such a demeaning cannibalism. I'm done with it. I can see it in myself, hear the sharp cynicism, biting sarcasm, and the comments I ma...

Forgetting My Past

December 15, 2008

I think everyone can be accused of forgetting the events that brought them to where they are today. Even easier to do, is forget the reason behind why you took those actions in the first place.

ball is meticulously placed so that as soon as she is done she can play again. When we refuse to throw it anymore she brings it up on the couch and sits it by our ...

DROWNING HERE!

December 10, 2008

I am throwing myself into everything head first, working hard, researching and the whole time I’m thinking-I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT THIS! But I am falling back on a recently uncovered mantra-”amateurs built the ark, professionals built the titanic.” Obviously I am hoping for my limited knowledge to produce something able to withstand the floods…If I fail, I’ll know what not to do. If I succeed the world awaits. Either way, I’m doing something. It also just plain beats letting ...

What was I thinking starting this site???

December 10, 2008

My Post

Welcome my name is Laura. I am creating this site out of the desire to do something different. I have an earnest wish to live outside of the lines. I am the oddity that throws a monkey wrench in the system-from which evolves things that are new creative and better. Revolution is my goal- I am a catalyst for change. I am also in above my head with this, meaning I have many other ventures going at this very moment-like my new online business selling custom candles, other jobs, artwor...
